Nicaragua Gran Matagalpa

This coffee takes its name from the department in which it is grown, Matagalpa and the adjective "Gran" refers to its Crivello 19/20 and its development that once roasted releases its spectacular taste and aroma. The cherries are collected by Finca La Verona located in the El Arenal Nature Reserve in the Cordillera Isabelia, one of the few forest nature reserves in Nebliselva in Nicaragua. The best of these beans are selected by the Coopinhal cooperative, small and medium producers with land located in mountainous locations, where altitude, temperature and rainfall are ideal for the production of quality coffee. The cherries grow under a dense forest shade, which leads to a slow maturation allowing each bean to incorporate more taste and aroma. The harvest is carried out completely by hand starting from the plants located in the lowest altitudes, while those at a higher altitude that need more time for the maturation of the cherries are collected later. A well-structured and balanced coffee with a good body, really a speciality.
