Perù Pichanaki
speciality grows in Junín, the cradle of the best coffee in Peru, according to some. A crossroads between mountains and jungle, it is protected by the Pacific current and the cold, dry trade winds that accompany the Andes and offers ideal conditions: water supplies from numerous lagoons, rivers and aquifers, fertile soils and numerous protected forests. And in the small town of Pichanaki where it comes from, coffee has a long tradition: coffee plants are grown in the jungle, which gives them natural protection from the sun's glaring rays. Each producer processes its production according to strict criteria: the cherries are selectively harvested to ensure optimal ripening and are plucked and washed on the day of harvest. This single-origin is then part of a particularly fine selection: it is SHB EP, Strictly Hard Bean Extra Prime, a label intended for qualities harvested at high altitudes, therefore better and Grade 1 for the sieve, which selects only the largest beans.
