Costa Rica Tarrazù

This speciality coffee comes from a lot of the exclusive "Tirra" Lots: only 4 hectares of land on a mountainous soil with a slope of up to 25% that the Hacienda Cafetera Estate reserves for them in the region of Tarrazú, dedicating great attention to them: employs as many as 18 permanent and eight seasonal workers for these lots. The Coopetarrazù of which it is a member, specialises in microlots, so it has bought the special lands of the Hacienda Tirra and offers free accommodation to seasonal visitors. This lot has been processed with the honey process that involves a selective collection of cherries at the right degree of ripeness; the drupes are then deprived of the peel and most of the pulp. Part of it, the mucilage, remains attached to the bean in the subsequent sun-drying phase. The result in the cup is a fair balance between body, sweetness and acidity. This match is SHB Strictly Hard Bean certified, that of the best high altitude coffees and offers fantastic notes in the cup.
