The French Press, or Coffee Press, was invented in France in the mid-19th century and is popular throughout Europe for the convenience of brewing excellent cups of filter coffee.

Our French Press 600 ML (approx. 4 cups) gives a cup with good body and a full, pleasant flavour thanks to the unfiltered sediments. The coffee infusion can be more or less intense simply by varying the quantity and infusion time, and can be made either by hot extraction or, lengthening the time, cold extraction.

The operation of the French coffee maker is very simple: in the classic extraction, the coffee powder is poured directly into the glass, filled with hot water and covered with the lid. It is left to infuse for a few minutes, then the plunger is pressed so that the filter separates the ground coffee from the beverage obtained; finally, it is poured directly into the cup from the spout of the device.

Thanks to this extraction system, it manages to capture all the flavour of the coffee, which is completely immersed in water, and its essential oils, which are not filtered out.

For cold extraction, which is just as simple, the powder must be left to infuse for at least 12 hours, also in the refrigerator, and cow's milk or vegetable milk such as soya, almonds, etc) can be used as an alternative to water. The result? An even different coffee, more delicate and all to try.
