Burundi Kibira

This coffee is produced by a union of 39 cooperatives working for the development of the country, Cococa, and the Horamama brand proudly recalls its tradition: in the Burundian language, it means “courage” and “strength” and evokes a traditional song that women sang as they went to the fields or returned home.
The association is very active in training managers and accountants to ensure the continuous improvement of financial management and reporting to protect the interests of its farmer members, as well as in the intensive training of each member in each of the four regions on sustainable agricultural practices to continuously improve the quality and yield of crops.
This Burundi Specialty, produced in the hills of Kibira, is one of the best washed Bourbon coffees in the world.
A complete, well-balanced coffee with a structured aroma that is both balanced and complex: an enveloping aroma that offers sweet notes of vanilla and caramel in the cup and leaves a lingering aftertaste of citrus notes of mandarin, with a delicate and very pleasant citrus acidity.
