Ruanda Ingagi
This selection comes from the southwest area of Rwanda, in the Lakes region in the National Park. Land of a thousand hills, with its fertile volcanic soil at high altitude rich in nitrogen and still active volcanoes, the temperate tropical climate and the reigning equatorial fog, it is ideal for high-quality coffees. It is the selection of small farmers with less than 200 plants each grown at altitude under the natural shade given by an extremely rich biodiversity. The natural factors of this environment ensure a slow ripening of the cherries and an optimal development of this quality of red Bourbon, which takes the name Ingagi, "Gorilla", from the mountain gorillas, a symbol of the many species that live in the area. Bourbon is the dominant variety in Rwanda, boasting a large proportion of ancient trees, and this, combined with the altitude and rich volcanic soil ensure that the region's beans remain among the best. In fact, this coffee is spectacularly balanced and bright.
